Hi, I’m Ruth

I am a Life, Executive Functioning and Social Skills Coach who loves to work with youth of all ages, their parents, as well as adults. I bring with me over 20 years of experience guiding clients to live more productive and fulfilled lives.

As a coach, I love to work in partnership with my clients. Together we create goals and plans to enable you to achieve all you desire to change.

Professional Background

I have always known that I wanted to help others, even as a young child. My parents were both educators, my Mom, a Special Education teacher, and my Father, a Guidance Counselor. I often went to work with my father on days I had no school, but his school was in session. I admired how he was able to help his students with compassion, empathy and in a way that enabled them to be themselves freely. Once in college, I majored in Psychology, minoring in Sociology. I found both ideologies interesting and applicable to everyday life. I went onto graduate school to obtain my Masters degree in Counseling with a specialty in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling. As a therapist I worked with adults and youth with varied goals and concerns. However,  I specialized in working with ADHD both individually as well as group settings.

After taking some time off to start a family and raise my three sons, I decided I missed working and decided to change direction in my career path. I became a Prevention Specialist working as a contractor for a local school district. For seven years I worked in several schools, running groups, classroom and school wide presentations, as well as individual coaching. I found this to be extremely rewarding work and adored working with students and families. I not only worked with many executive functioning and social emotional situations, but also served as an advocate for the families I worked with. After many years in this role, I moved on to become a Learning Success Coach for Arizona State Preparatory Academy. Here, my focus was on working in conjunction with my students to achieve their highest level of success academically and overcome any struggles in their path.

All of this experience led to my realization that everything I love can be combined into one amazing role as a life coach. I pursued a certification in the field of coaching and obtained my Board Certification as a life coach (BCC). I love what I do and am excited to share my experience and passion for living life to your greatest potential with you!
